As Founder, Joe Alvarez oversees the direction and strategy for NewGate’s day-to-day operations, including marketing, sales, consulting and support.

Joe A. Alvarez, Jr. brings over 30 years of executive leadership and owner experience to NewGate. His focus is leadership, innovation and customer service. Prior to NewGate, Joe co-founded Demetree Central Constructors Corporation (DCC), and under his ownership, grew the company to become one of Florida’s largest privately held construction services firms managing over $200 million in aggregate contracts statewide. Joe sold his interest in Demetree Central Constructors Corporation Company in 2000 to pursue his desire to help others succeed in life through business opportunities.

Joe’s strong passion for helping people and giving back to the community has kept him involved with numerous organizations such as Community Foundation of Central Florida, Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, and the Economic Development Commission Mid Florida to name a few. Mr. Alvarez, Jr. was honored with the “Small Business Person of the Year” award.

Joe is a Florida Real Estate Broker and previously a Certified General Contractor. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of South Florida and graduated from the Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program.
